# Term Protocol Operations

The **Core Architecture - Term** extends Yearn V3's foundation with Term-specific strategies to manage fixed-rate lending portfolios. This layer introduces custom integrations for repoTokens, auction participation, and liquidity management, while enforcing strict portfolio risk controls.

**Key Focus Areas**

1. **Liquidity Management**: Automates portfolio adjustments using Yearn’s hooks to manage idle assets, repoTokens, and auction offers.
2. **Auction Participation and RepoToken Liquidity**: Enables controlled auction offer submissions and public repoToken sales under strict validation.
3. **Portfolio Valuation**: Accurately aggregates idle liquidity, repoToken holdings, and pending auction offers.
4. **Risk Controls**: Enforces constraints on concentration, reserve ratios, maturity caps, and collateral quality.

The following four sections detail these Term-specific functionalities, ensuring efficient, risk-compliant portfolio operations.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://developers.term.finance/periphery-contracts/curated-vaults/core-functionality/term-protocol-operations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
